[Presentation on Tuesday, November 17] UPWARD: Reducing the Data Entry Burden of SFA and Shifting to Sales Management That Focuses on Actions, Not Just Results

Speaker at the Lux-hosted webinar, “5 Strategies for Breaking Through the ‘Revenue Wall’ in B2B Sales”

UPWARD, Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Ryusuke Kaneki; hereinafter “UPWARD”) will be a speaker at the online event “5 Strategies to Break Through the ‘Revenue Wall’ in B2B Sales: Practical Approaches to Overcoming Revenue Stagnation,” to be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2026.

In this relay-style session featuring five companies that support various areas of B2B sales, Mr. Wakizumi, Executive Officer and Head of the Sales Division at UPWARD, will present strategies for managing field sales and client visits to overcome stagnant sales. Drawing on real-world examples, he will explain a system that reduces the data entry burden on sales representatives while ensuring activity data is accumulated in the SFA, as well as how to use that data to analyze sales behavior.

About the UPWARD Lecture

Title: Are You Meeting the Right Customers at the Right Time? An Approach to Changing Sales Behavior
A major reason why sales management often remains limited to tracking the number of deals and revenue—even after implementing an SFA system—is that sales activities remain invisible. If data entry becomes a burden for field staff and fails to take root, while records of visits may remain, details of conversations and next steps are unlikely to be documented. As a result, managers lack the information needed to determine whether salespeople are meeting with priority customers at the right time, and their guidance ends up relying on experience and intuition.

In this presentation, we will introduce, with real-world examples, the mechanisms by which activity data is accumulated in SFA systems and how that data can be leveraged for management practices that drive changes in sales behavior.

Key Topics

  • A system that reduces the data entry burden and accumulates activity data in the SFA
  • How to use color-coding on a map to indicate the date of the last visit and the status of business negotiations, and share visit priorities with the team
  • How to reflect on which actions led to results and use that insight to inform future instructions and knowledge sharing
  • How to Use It: The AI Suggests Your Next Move Based on Activity Data
