Deciding which clients to visit based on paper lists and memory, and entering meeting notes all at once after returning to the office—the burden of converting activities into data, and
as long as the structure remains where that data isn’t fed back into the next course of action, the front lines will not be ready for operations in the AI era.

In this archive, we present a recording of a seminar featuring a discussion with Mr. Kyohei Nitta of the Strategy Department at Yamaguchi Financial Group digital transformation.
In addition to the new CRM (Salesforce) that went live in March 2026, the group is actively promoting the use of UPWARD as a system to support field sales activities. We spoke with Mr. Nitta about the background behind making sales digital transformationa key management priority, the deciding factors behind the implementation, how map-based visit planning transforms a day in the life of a field sales representative, and the strategies they’ve adopted to ensure continued adoption on the front lines.

We also look ahead to how the accumulated behavioral data will be leveraged for organizational decision-making, talent development, and future AI applications. For everyone involved in field sales and sales promotion digital transformation, we present a front-line perspective on the reality of these efforts.
