The speech analysis AI "UPWARD AI Speech" now supports offline recording and meeting minutes generation

UPWARD Inc. In field sales roles that rely heavily on face-to-face interactions, business meetings may routinely take place in environments—whether indoors or outdoors—where mobile connectivity is unstable or unavailable. Since traditional cloud-based log assume a constant online connection, issues such as recording interruptions and failed uploads have been common challenges in such environments.

In customer interviews conducted by UPWARD, many respondents reported issues such as, “I was unable to record audio at the client site and had to write my report based on memory after returning to the office,” and “I felt anxious because the signal was unstable in certain locations, such as restaurants in basements or factories.”

With this new feature, "UPWARD AI Speech" will now be able to record audio and generate summaries even in offline environments.

1. Offline recording

Even when the device is offline, "UPWARD AI Speech" temporarily stores voice data locally (on the device). The recorded data is then automatically uploaded to the cloud once the network connection is restored. Sales representatives can start recording with a single tap on their smartphone’s notification, without having to worry about their network connection.

2. Automatic generation of meeting minutes after network connectivity is restored

When an online return is detected, the recording data is automatically sent to the cloud, where generative AI automatically generates meeting minutes, summaries, and next steps. After the sales representative reviews the results, they are synced to the CRM activity log, reducing data entry effort to nearly zero.

3. Integration with presence detection technology

Thanks to our proprietary "visit location detection technology," we can accurately link recordings to "when and at which location" they were made, even when offline. This eliminates the need for review and sorting upon returning to the office, dramatically improving log.
