UPWARD registered on the "Digital Marketplace," a software procurement platform for government agencies

Accelerating digital transformation in government agencies through integration with Salesforce

UPWARD Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Ryusuke Kaneki; hereinafter "UPWARD") announces that its mobile AI agent for field sales, "UPWARD," has been registered on the "Digital Marketplace (DMP)"—a cloud software (SaaS) procurement platform for government agencies operated by the Digital Agency.

This enables government agencies to search for UPWARD on the DMP and procure it more quickly than before.

Background of DMP Registration: Expanding Scope from Disaster Recovery Support to Daily Field Operations Support

UPWARD has continuously contributed to solving regional challenges for government agencies and municipalities by leveraging its proprietary location-based technology and mobile CRM expertise cultivated through sales activity support. Particularly in disaster recovery support, during the July 2020 heavy rains, UPWARD was provided to areas like Hitoyoshi City in Kumamoto Prefecture. By supporting on-site surveys, it enabled the swift issuance of disaster certificates.This disaster recovery support initiative was recognized as an exemplary case at the Cabinet Office-hosted "Regional Revitalization SDGs International Forum 2021," highlighting its significant contribution to solving regional challenges. More recently, UPWARD continued its administrative support by providing technology to assist in efficient disaster response for Kumamoto Prefecture's "Data Utilization Case Creation Project."Now, we have decided to register with the DMP to support not only disaster recovery assistance but digital transformation of routine field operations within government administration.

Challenges in Administrative Field Operations

Government agencies perform a wide variety of field operations that require on-site visits, such as sanitation inspections at restaurants, patrol inspections of public facilities, and management of vacant houses and buildings. However, these field operations face challenges stemming from delayed digitalization, including "information reporting gaps and reliance on specific individuals due to labor shortages and dependence on experienced staff" and "difficulties in sharing and utilizing data because log are managed on paper or by hand."In response, UPWARD provides solutions to address these challenges through its proprietary automatic presence detection, automated log, and geographic visualization of data stored in Salesforce.

  • Automatically detects time spent at visit locations on mobile devices, saving time on reporting while ensuring accurate evidence collection.
  • Visualize information such as inspection and guidance histories for visited locations, along with facility information pre-registered in Salesforce, on a map to streamline the creation of field visit schedules.
  • AI technology analyzes audio and images to extract necessary information and automatically registers it in Salesforce. Significantly reduces reporting time.

What is DMP?

The Digital Marketplace (DMP) is a platform designed to accelerate cloud software procurement within government agencies and diversify procurement sources by enabling participation from a wide range of vendors.
On this platform, service information is publicly available on the website. Government and local authority users can search to compare and evaluate services. Vendors can register and list their software and sales services, enabling users to search, compare, select, and procure these services quickly.
