(LOCATION: CHIYODA-KU, TOKYO; PRESIDENT AND CEO: RYUSUKE KANEKI), WHICH PROVIDES "UPWARD," APP SUPPORTS CREATIVE WORK STYLES OF OUTSIDE AND VISITING SALES REPRESENTATIVES, AND NEC CORPORATION (HEADQUARTERS: MINATO-KU, TOKYO; DIRECTOR, REPRESENTATIVE EXECUTIVE OFFICER, PRESIDENT AND CEO: TAKAYUKI MORITA; HEREINAFTER "NEC"), WHICH OPERATES IT SERVICES AND SOCIAL INFRASTRUCTURE BUSINESSES, HAVE SIGNED A SALES PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT. (NEC), A PROVIDER OF IT SERVICES AND SOCIAL INFRASTRUCTURE, HAVE SIGNED A SALES PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT, AND NEC WILL BEGIN SELLING UPWARD IN FEBRUARY 2025.

Background and Significance of the Sales Agreement 

FIELD SALES IS A DIRECT CUSTOMER TOUCHPOINT AND SALES CHANNEL, AND IS ALSO THE FINAL DIFFERENTIATING FACTOR OF A COMPANY. AS THE CUSTOMER TOUCHPOINT IS FURTHER REDEFINED AFTER THE CORONA DISASTER, MANAGEMENT AND BEHAVIORAL REFORMS THROUGH DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION ARE URGENTLY NEEDED, BUT THIS IS ALSO AN AREA WHERE MANY COMPANIES ARE BEHIND OR UNABLE TO PROMOTE DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION. HOWEVER, THIS IS ALSO AN AREA IN WHICH MANY COMPANIES ARE LATE IN PROMOTING DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OR HAVE YET TO DO SO.

IN THIS CONTEXT, UPWARD CORPORATION, A PROVIDER OF FIELD WORKER-SPECIFIC DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION SOLUTIONS, AND UPWARD CORPORATION, A PROVIDER OF FIELD WORKER-SPECIFIC DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION SOLUTIONS, IN ORDER TO PROVIDE DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION SUBSEQUENT ESSENTIAL SUCCESS IN FIELD SALES, REGARDLESS OF GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION, NEC, A SOLUTION PARTNER TO MANY COMPANIES, HAS ENTERED INTO A SALES PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT WITH UPWARD, INC.

WITH THE CONCLUSION OF THIS AGREEMENT, NEC WILL PROMOTE THE INTRODUCTION OF UPWARD, WHICH REALIZES THE DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION FIELD SALES, TO COMPANIES NATIONWIDE THAT ARE SEEKING TO IMPROVE SALES EFFICIENCY. UPWARD WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE IMPROVEMENT OF PRODUCTIVITY OF MORE COMPANIES BY SUPPORTING SALES OPERATIONS, INCLUDING THE EFFICIENT CREATION AND AGGREGATION OF DAILY SALES REPORTS.

 UPWARD will be linked with EXPLANNER/Ax, an ERP system provided by NEC, to combine information based on sales activities, such as the number of visits by customer and the amount of activity by salesperson, with information based on product management, such as sales results by product and inventory information. Through this linkage, NEC will contribute to the efficiency and optimization of business operations, including the planning of optimal sales strategies and product development, the improvement of customer service quality, and the visualization of management indicators.
