The Investment Banking Department of Monex, Inc. has been conducting sales activities targeting both listed companies and companies preparing for listing nationwide, using Excel for customer information management and Word for sales activity reporting. In order to unify customer information and sales activity information and to improve sales efficiency, the Investment Banking Department decided to introduce UPWARD, a cloud service that allows easy CRM integration from mobile devices. UPWARD will support the first step of digital transformationfrom visualizing the status of sales activities to improving sales efficiency in the Investment Banking Department.

Monex, Inc., a securities company specializing in the Internet, sells a variety of financial products, mainly Japanese stocks, to retail customers over the Internet. In order to make its services more user-friendly for customers, Monex has been providing advanced services such as an inheritance tax simulator and an AI-based stock price prediction service, the first of its kind for a major online securities company.

On the other hand, the Investment Banking Department was managing sales activities using Word and Excel, and felt the need to introduce IT tools to improve operational efficiency.

We chose UPWARD because of its excellent UI/UX, mobile compatibility, and ability to centrally manage customer and activity information. We expect that UPWARD will facilitate the accumulation of sales activity data and enable us to effectively utilize the data to conduct advanced sales activities that are unique to Monex.

UPWARD provides its services on the Salesforce platform to ensure complete security. With the Corona disaster and the shift from in-person interviews to a hybrid online format, financial salespeople who need to dig deeper into the issues and strengths of key customers are required to improve the quality of communication at each and every customer touchpoint. By promoting the use of mobile in a secure environment, more timely and accurate customer touchpointinformation can be obtained, and the PDCA cycle of sales activities can be turned UPWARD. It also supports a new way of working for financial sales in a with-corona society, such as going directly home from work and promoting remote work utilizing location-based technology.

In October 2021, UPWARD will be linked with Okta, a global IDaaS (Identity as a Service) vendor. In October 2021, UPWARD also established SSO collaboration with Okta, a global Identity as a Service (IDaaS) vendor, to improve convenience and security.
