Sun-Medix is a general medical equipment trading company that has been in business for 136 years. With sales offices throughout the Kanto region, in addition to providing medical equipment, Sun-Medix offers a wide range of services to support the operation of medical facilities, including support for the introduction of information systems for medical institutions and assistance in improving the efficiency of goods management. In our sales activities, we regularly visit facilities to grasp the actual operational conditions and make proposals based on our product knowledge and on-site understanding.

The company is working to create a system that allows sales representatives to focus on proposal activities rather than delivery work and equipment inspections, but activity log analysis methods were not standardized, making it difficult to accurately grasp the actual activities of each person in charge. As a result, management was unable to provide accurate support and formulate improvement measures.

In response to these issues, we decided to implement UPWARD in order to visualize sales activities and shift to proposal activities. By utilizing UPWARD's mobile app with stay detection function, on-site activity data will be automatically log and consolidated into Salesforce, and accurate on-site information will be visualized on a dashboard. This will help to build a management system that enables accurate decisions to be made.

As part of our efforts to promote the digital transformation transformation of our sales activities, we have officially decided to introduce UPWARD.

Our company was facing the issue that sales representatives were so busy with delivery work that they were not able to fully focus on sales activities. Although we had a policy to increase the weight of sales activities, it was difficult to provide accurate support because we could not visualize on-site activities. Against this backdrop, we introduced "UPWARD" as a mechanism to aggregate and visualize the status of activities and encourage changes in behavior.

The main deciding factor in our decision was the overwhelmingly low data entry workload compared to other SFA systems, thanks to the stay detection function. We felt that the system was easy to establish input and could solve the above issues. Another important point was that the roadmap included the inclusion of AI functions such as image analysis, and we could look forward to its future development.

Looking ahead to where the company will be in 10 to 20 years, we believe that the accumulation and utilization of sales data will lead to improved organizational strength and employee job satisfaction. As generational change is underway, the transfer of know-how and sales information held by veteran employees is an issue, and we expect "UPWARD" to make a significant contribution to resolving this issue. In the future, we intend to make wider use of UPWARD, including visualization of human connections through business card scanning, voice input, and log by images.
